Power BI Analyst

Purpose of the job

The Power BI Analyst reports to the Global Director of Information Technology and will play a cross-functional role in bringing together various data elements, generating reports, development of dashboards, and analytics across the organization.

Key accountabilities

  • Setup, management, and troubleshooting of PowerBI Platform for the company
  • Determining business requirements and understand role-based needs for business data
  • Creating functional requirements, design, delivery and maintain dashboards as well as tabular reporting in PowerBI
  • Establishing connectivity to various data sources
  • Responsible for end user training on use of PowerBI platform
  • Good understanding of SQL, Oracle, and Progress databases
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, skills and experience – the minimum qualifications and experience required to perform the responsibilities of this position

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of PowerBI experience
  • Knowledge of database and business analyst functions
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong ability to critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and meet established deadlines
  • Able to manage multiple projects within specified timelines
  • Able to travel domestically and/or globally up to 10% of time
